Older & Timid?

Over the years, I realised that I've grown a lot domesticated and 'timid'. I no longer yearn for the opportunity to meet new friends. Just a few years ago before I got married, I would jump at any chance to widen my circle of friends. I used to meet groups of strangers regularly from internet forums. But now, I dread at the thought of it. Small talks, awkward silence and fake laughters are not one of my favourites now. I really like my friends now. No more bitchiness, bitterness, you name it.

I'm more into furniture refurbishment these days. Unfortunately, I don't have the chance to actually have my hands on it because I'm now living in a tiny apartment. Stuff that I can rescue from staircase landings cannot fit into our apartment :'( *wails* I need to find my dream house at a dream price. I don't think it's ever going to happen this year. Sighs.

Anyway, i would like to introduce you to one of my favourite DIY blogs.

Centsationalgirl is from Northern California. Full time mom. Part time attorney. Bargain hunter, salvager, incurable DIYer. She proclaims to be on a quest for diamond style on a dime, and she's all out to make her world fabulous, for less, one DIY project at a time.

She has the same motto as I do! I'm so happy to know that I'm not abnormal. :) Centsationalgirl would buy really cheap stuff from thrift shops or salvation army and transform them into really pretty things that I'd never imagined. The key that made me HIGH here is CHEAP to AMAZING. I like! Having said that, I think the Salvation Army in Singapore sucks, big time. They suck because they have a roomful of donated stuff, stuck in the room for so long. The very reason why they're stuck is because the staff priced them too high. Who in the right mind would buy a used and old item that's priced at 20% below the market price of a new item???? Dumbass!!! Learn from the Americans. Priced reasonably so that you can make room for more donated items, can?

Back to Centsationalgirl. Here are some "before and after" photos of the stuff that she transformed.

She bought the mirror at $2, table at $5, candlestick set at $3, silver cup at $2. Of course all in USD but still very good buys! You don't reckon? See what she did to them...

It's fantabulous!

Winter in NYC

B & I are thinking of going to NYC this year during its winter time. I can't wait to see snow for the first time. I can't wait to see how NYC would look like in winter. I can't wait to go back to NYC. I love America! I love shopping there. It's heaven! Heaven heaven heaven! :) On our way to NYC, we can also stop by Tokyo. OMG. I'm gonna faint soon. This is too good.

I shall keep my fingers crossed that this holiday will really happen.

This is how NYC looks like during winter...I'm loving it :)

Oh by the way, thanks to my boss, I think I'm going to own my first DSLR soon. He's selling me his old set of Canon 450D that will come with 2 lenses at only $350. I'm soooo happy and grateful. :D

My life is a dry patch of grass

No matter how hard I try, I will never understand what's the real meaning of life.

Some say the meaning of life is living totally for GOD.

Some say the meaning of life is spreading happiness to people around you.

I say life is about making money so that you won't have to rely on anyone when you're old.

Sighs. Life is meaningless.

It's in my bones

I almost forgot how much I love Sandra Bullock until I watched her new movie "The Proposal". After being away from the big screen for so many years, she still hasn't lost her charm.

Even though her plastic-laden face is kinda distracting, her acting drew me right back to the show. She is one of the actresses whom I really love.

Or should I say, I love romantic comedies. I love the heart-wrenching feeling these movies give me. They remind me of my relationships when I was much younger.

Her co-actor Ryan Reynolds is the man of my dreams! I still have a soft spot for tall, dark and handsome men. I mean, who isn't?

Look at him. He's such a hunk!

Biodata of Ryan Reynolds

Henceforth, I shall watch all movies that Ryan Reynolds stars in. He is my newfound love!

I also have a virtual crush on Michael Miu.

Does this name ring a bell?

Perhaps this name Miao Qiao Wei sounds more familiar to you.

He is sooooo man! I like man-man. Cha noe what dai mean.
