My Dream House

Contrary to B's intention, I had been wanting to sell our penthouse apartment, our first matrimonial home for the longest time. Although it's a nice apartment overall, I prefer one that doesn't face the sun directly, freehold or at least 999 yrs leasehold and has a bigger living / dinning area. B and I had very little time and budget to look for a better alternative. At the time when we bought the apartment, it was our dream home indeed.

The development

I count myself blessed that I made the right decision to sell my penthouse. The house was sold in July 2008, just before the economy went spiraling downwards. After we signed on the dotted line, we only had 4 months to find a new abode, our dream landed house. It was a really stressful period. Once again, we couldn't find any dream house within our budget. The property prices were really sky high.

In the midst of our search, we were elated on hearing the news of bad economy. This meant that the prices of properties will ease slightly or even drop massively. It kinda changed our plans.

Through God's grace, we found a lovely 3 room HDB unit at Toa Payoh and made it our temporary abode while we take own sweet time searching for our true dream house.

It's been 5 months since we last moved here. I love this apartment to bits but I know I can't stay here forever - not in the prime of my life. For now, I want to at least own our very first landed property.

We are still searching for our dream house. Until we really see one, I can only visualise it from the pictures of other dream houses. Here's how my dream house will look like...
