Should death be a celebration of life?

My grandpa passed away suddenly last night. He lived a ripe age of 80 years. Just as everyone wallowed in sorrow, I begun to secretly wonder if my grandpa was rejoicing instead. He missed my grandma a lot when he was alive. Now he's on his way to meet her. Shouldn't this be a joyous occasion for him instead?

I think it should be. At least if I were in his shoes.

Nonetheless, I will miss you sorely, Grandpa. But I'm glad that you can finally reunite with Grandma. I hope to see both of you soon in heaven too. God bless you.
